5 Days till Fun, Fellowship, and Disc Golf!

We have 2 matches that will kick off the season on Saturday!

Saturday's Matches

KB vs Dark KnightsWild Turkey @ Cougar Country

There has been a lot of work that has gone on behind the scenes to make this all happen. I want to give notice the captains that have put in a lot of hours already just to make it all happen. Big thanks to Alex Wetherell, Charlie Johnson, Phil Turnage, Hastin McGill, William Deering, Roy Strawderman, Jimbo Lemire, and Patrick Kimbrell.

Each event takes hours and hours of planning, especially when hosting. I ask all players to communicate with their captains quickly when asked. Nothing burns a captain out more then when they have to track down individual players every match because they don't respond to group texts.

Fun. Fellowship. Disc Golf.

The best way to increase the Fun, Fellowship, and Disc Golf, is to get involved. This league is different than typical disc golf events. The reward comes from how much you help out. Better food, help with setup/cleanup, welcome players, etc. Everyone has an opportunity to make their team the best team in the league. The league is setup to get what you give. Few will remember your play, but many will remember the great conversation with new people and amazing food over the course of the season.

Scorekeeping

I encourage everyone to visit:tcwhiteboard.com/practice

This is how we will keep live scoring this season for the league. I will give more specific information as we get closer. But its very simple and our entire league is already loaded.

Matches will still be created on the whiteboards as before. The only change is you will use this for scorekeeping (like Udisc) It will handle Singles and Doubles, where Udisc can only handle doubles. It's also live scoring, so you can see other matches during the round.

More posts in the coming days!
